Jorge Frascara "There is an Aristotelic tradition in cognitive psychology, information design and artificial intelligence, to understand human information processing as a mechanism, that is, as a complicated system, ultimately explainable on the basis of the understanding of every one of its multiple components and their interactions. Instead of looking at human information
processing as a complicated system, I propose to look at it as a complex system, distinguishing for this paper the complicated from the complex; the first being composed by a high number of discrete parts with many interconnections: as in a computer circuit, the second being an integrated system where everything affects everything: as in the relation between two
people."

Exploring the deep ocean floor [This Dynamic Earth, USGS] "Once it was thought that life had to have sunlight to exist. We believed high temperatures would cook, instead of sustain life. Read these quotes from the USGS:
In 1977, scientists discovered hot springs at a depth of 2.5 km., on the Galapagos Rift (spreading ridge) off the coast of Equador. This exciting discovery was not really a surprise."

That wedding site makes my head hurt. I bought this like 300 page wedding mag yesterday. It came with a special section for grooms---a mere 30 page pamphlet!! Apparently, the bride is expected to do everything!! And the groom's guide was all about planning your bachelor party and just having a good ole time.

Random Russia Experiences - Trans Siberian
Trans-Siberian Railway – the longest railway in the world - stretches from Moscow to Vladivostok for 10 000 km and includes stops in the most beautiful places in Russia – Moscow, St-Peterburg, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, lake Baikal, Vladivostok.
While travelling along the legendary Trans-Siberian route… you will open one of the pearls of Siberia – geographical center of Russia – the city KRASNOYARSK (in translation from Old Russian - Beautiful Land). It was founded in 1628 by the leader of the Cossacks Andrey Dubensky, but it developed rapidly only after the Trans-Siberian Railway construction.
Krasnoyarsk strikes with its natural beauty – the mighty Enissey River, endless taiga, cliffs. It is very rich in cultural traditions as well. While in Krasnoyarsk you will get acquainted with the richest history, culture and traditions of the Siberian people, which date back to the 17th century. The other great property of the Siberian land is it`s people - proud, freedom-loving and hospitable.
Preplanning for a Russian trip begins. Attempted route: Moscow to Krasnayarsk next summer to visit my beautiful Nadia.

2002 Website is now live!
Wow. I am sick with the flu, my birthday was the day before yesterday. I am wopping 29 years old now, living here in DC. I am getting out of software sales as my last startup gets put on the auction block. I have decided to get involved in Documentary Film/Broadcast, basically I have a wish to tell people's stories, and the time feels right to engage in this endeavor. I am also getting involved in the art scene with http://www.artomatic.org in order to get some fresh new inspiration and build a new collective of digital artists in Washington, DC. I have set up a marker page for my own website, http://www.ultrarreal.com for this future collective of artists, one with a hyper focus on documenting that which is truly vital and real, something that transcends the static and lack of clarity that exists today.
Time to get busy!
