Sweet Rain v2

somewhere inside my conscious drought,

I sometimes sit like a little girl

wearing a new outfit she is not so sure about..

The girl's fidgeting slowly abates,

as the distant cycle of dissonant waves fades.

Your dulcet voice and smile soon imbue

the air with million glints and bright hue.

the ambrosia rain,

divine nectar for those who feign gods.

Eclipse of the Heart

I awaken in the middle of the night covered in sweat. Trying to pinpoint the lunar streaked thoughts that woke me this eve, I rummage through a million images, a coastal sea cave, a settlement table, and a myriad of others. Text messages flash from friends out partying- electro eclipse party, missed call from Vinny, no call from you. I wish I had never heard the tale of my father’s lack of consideration before I went to bed tonight. I feel alone and thinking that I wish that money hadn’t meant so much to him, I wish that someone still valued love and family. I am alone with my thoughts, I hope that the ghosts of dead corporations and pollution and greed won’t drown Bangladesh into oblivion, won’t kill our planet, strangle seabirds, won’t take my father away from me. But slowly, it has. I wish I didn’t feel eclipses so much, but I always do. Alone with my thoughts, big meeting at work tomorrow, and I’m thinking of slipping back into oblivion as I eye a pair of running shoes that will be put to use at 7:00 AM to quiet my beating heart. 3:54 AM eternal.

The Ten Axioms of Choice Theory
  1. The only person whose behavior we can control is our own.

  2. All we can give another person is information.

  3. All long-lasting psychological problems are relationship problems.

  4. The problem relationship is always part of our present life.

  5. What happened in the past has everything to do with what we are today, but we can only satisfy our basic needs right now and plan to continue satisfying them in the future.

  6. We can only satisfy our needs by satisfying the pictures in our Quality World.

  7. All we do is behave.

  8. All behavior is Total Behavior and is made up of four components: acting, thinking, feeling and physiology.

  9. All Total Behavior is chosen, but we only have direct control over the acting and thinking components. We can only control our feeling and physiology indirectly through how we choose to act and think.

  10. All Total Behavior is designated by verbs and named by the part that is the most recognizable.

Rosie's | Sowebo | Old Town

I visited Baltimore last night with K to have dinner with Miss P and Big K, Rhy-Lee looked on with great sadness at the meal that he could not partake in, his big mug staring from the wood slats of the house length stairs. The entire house was built on land originally owned by James Stirling in the early 1800s, a native of Stirling, Scotland. This street is famous as being one of the first sites for its “dollar houses”, ‘70s program wherein the city sold vacant houses for $1 to those willing to rehab and live in them. The reason for our mini-celebration is my brother’s potential acquisition of a small character laden carry-out in Sowebo complete with a host of characters that would rival any John Waters movie, complete with a Hair raising Reuben sandwich, the single best I have ever had. That such a small kitchen could produce and item of such beauty is amazing. Leave it up to K to find this kind of life crammed into such a small box. But more on that later as that materializes and details hammered out. The area surrounding Stirling Street is an echo of civilizations past, a decaying strip mall straight from Escape from New York…hauntingly desperate alleyways and addicts. Here is an article about the area. http://citypaper.com/news/story.asp?id=4747
